Liga F.O.S. Architecture Competition entry by STUDIO 18

Football is one of the best vehicles for social change (not to mention it’s fun to play). As fans of social change AND fun, Architecture for Humanity, Nike, and Fu.De (Football for Development) have teamed up to host a design competition for a prototype football, education, and health center for Liga FOS — a project that promotes social development through sport in vulnerable Buenos Aires suburbs. (From http://openarchitecturenetwork.org/competitions/copa_arquitectura)

Our proposal focuses on the need to integrate kids, teenagers and their parents in a social/public/recreation space that works as a platform for interaction, using soccer as a vehicle to generate social and human networks.

NISSAN Car Dealership Showroom

STUDIO 18 is invited as one of five teams to submit a design proposal for a new Nissan car dealership/showroom space in Lima, Peru.

 

Sifuentes Residence is under construction

The site faces an open green space with no front neighbor, which presents the opportunity to fuse the interior space with the park. In order to connect with the outdoors the volume was divided into linear tubes that reach outward, while also organizing the program of the house. Click here for more images and info.
